Stronger partnership with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC)

Far From Home is pleased to announce a strengthened partnership with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC). To further help WDC’s vital conservation efforts, Far From Home has added a special paid DLC artifact to Forever Skies where 100% net revenue from sales will be donated to WDC’s vital conservation work to protect whales and dolphins across the globe.

Starting on Tuesday, December 12, a special WDC-themed DLC for Forever Skies will be made available on Steam. The "Whale and Dolphin Conservation Artifact" will be available for 2.99 USD.

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation is the leading global charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins. Their vision is a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free and is a leading authority on the many threats that marine wildlife currently face.

“It’s so wonderful to be partnering with Far From Home on Forever Skies.” says Sally Ward, WDC’s Digital partnerships manager. “The themes explored in the game around ecological collapse and an uninhabitable Earth are a stark reminder of what could happen if we don’t fight to protect our planet. Whales and dolphins are vital to the health of the planet and partners like these are enabling us to ensure whales and dolphins can thrive.”

In its strategy, Far From Home emphasizes that it wants to create games that will draw attention to the important challenges facing humanity.

"We're really excited to support WDC’s conservation work.” says Andrzej Blumenfeld Far From Home CEO. “Forever Skies is set in a time when Earth has been ravished by ecological collapse. The air is toxic and the state of the oceans is unknown, a setting we wanted to act as a stark reminder of the potential reality we may soon face. The work WDC does to protect whales, dolphins and the health of the ocean is vital to ensuring our shared planet stays healthy, and we are eager to help play our part in protecting these amazing creatures so that our game does not become a reality."

The “Whale and Dolphin Conservation Artifact” DLC is not the only collaboration between Far From Home and WDC have set up this year. On December 12th, 2024 at 5pm CET, WDC and Far From Home be partnering up on this year’s Jingle Jam! WDC through the help of Far From Home will be the featured charity by the YouTube Collective Worst Premade Ever. Their 4-hour stream will help to raise additional funds for WDC’s urgent work to end hunting and whaling for good.
